Bored in Denver
I find myself in Denver, Colorado on business.
Does anyone have any interesting bar recommendations? I haven’t had a bunch of luck on my own. Boulder or Aurora will do fine as well. I miss my dear old Portland.

I didn’t realize that place was so close. I’m so excited now - the camp will be mine! Thanks, M!

visit Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey. Its somewhere in LoDo. I travel to Denver occasionally on business and I have to say, I’m still looking for a good bar.

Yeah, none of their hours jived with my hours, pooh. I did have a peaty single malt scotch (Lagavulin) and cigar (Partagas Black Label) at the Brown Palace’s Churchill bar. That was quite nice. Oh, and surprisingly, I had a well made Manhattan at Earl’s. It would have been trendy 5 years ago in a real city. Ouch. The other big trendy bar in town’s claim to fame? Infusions. Way to keep it current, Denver.

I always find myself amazed at the amount of sushi bars in Denver. I have a hard and fast rule about not eating sushi in landlocked states. Call me weird, but it just seems wrong.
